Hey,

You’ve stumbled on my blog where I talk body confidence, self acceptance, personal style, travel and everything else in between!

I definitely, don’t think my words are any more important than the next, but I hope you find something here that will inspire you.

Choosing A Place to Stay in London

Choosing A Place to Stay in London

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do when I can get time off from work. I swear I get an itch every time I’ve been at home for too long without taking a trip somewhere. But as much as I love leaving home for a new adventure, I love to stay at a place on my trip I can really call home for a few days.

This is why I make sure to take my time in choosing my lodging. I’d say I don’t really book hotels unless it’s a very short and unexpected trip because I really prefer Airbnb. There’s something about choosing your temporary home in a new place that I absolutely love.

When looking for a place, the most important thing I take into account is location. London is a huge bustling metropolitan, so I wanted us to be somewhere that was a bit more residential and quiet. We would be out and about for most of the day, so a place where we could whine down and relax was key. We chose to stay in the Notting Hill neighborhood, located in northwest London. Our flat was located near two pretty centralized Underground Stations, which was great for getting around the city quickly.

The size of homes are also very different from Texas, where everything is bigger but I wasn’t really worried about the space. As long as we had a kitchen and a bed for each of us, that’s all we really needed. The first day we did some grocery shopping so we could have breakfast and snacks in our “home” before exploring the city.
